Job summary

Menasha Corporation is seeking a supervisor to direct multiple shifts in the inbound/outbound flow of containers, coordinating and expediting operations between customer plants, other plants, cross-docks, and suppliers. You will provide leadership for general labor and forklift staff.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in distribution/shipping roles with 2–3 years supervisory experience, strong communication, budget awareness, and lean tooling knowledge.

Qualifications

• High school degree or equivalent required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 3–5 years in distribution, container mgmt, consolidations, manufacturing or shipping/receiving.
• 2–3 years of supervisory experience in distribution or related fields.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate shipping and receiving of containers from customers to suppliers.
• Interact with customers and suppliers to ensure tasks are completed on time.
• Assess manpower needs based on production requirements.
• Identify waste reduction opportunities related to productivity.
• Prepare equipment and facility reports.
• Assist design and layout, maintenance, and continuous improvement of work areas.
• Ensure ORBIS safety rules, policies, and 5S standards are followed.
• Support quality policy and procedures implementation.
• Enter data into spreadsheets and databases; perform admin duties as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

About The Opportunity

Directs the activities of multiple shifts coordinating and expediting the flow of containers inbound and outbound from customer plant to other plants or cross-docks and/or suppliers. To provide leadership and supervisor for general labor and forklift employees.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• 1. Leads and coordinates the shipping and receiving of containers from customers to suppliers.
• 2. Interacts with customer/supplier ensuring tasks are completed in a timely manner, with effective follow-up.
• 3. Assesses manpower needs based on present and past production requirements.
• 4. Observes and provides waste reduction opportunities related to employee productivity.
• 5. Prepares equipment and facility reports.
• 6. Assists with the design, layout (striping), maintenance and continuous improvement of the work area(s).
• 7. Ensures ORBIS safety rules and policies are maintained and followed.
• 8. Adhere to facility 5S housekeeping standards.
• 9. Support and assist in the execution and continuous improvement of the quality policy and procedures.
• 10. Computer entry into spreadsheet/data base input.
• 11. Administrative functions, as required.
• 12. Other duties as assigned.

Work Experience Required Desired

• 3-5 years of related work experience working in distribution, container management, consolidations, manufacturing and/or shipping and receiving
• Minimum 2-3 years of supervisory experience working in distribution, container management, consolidations, manufacturing and/or shipping and receiving
