Job summary

Core-Mark is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to oversee daily operations, manage 15–25 associates, and ensure accurate handling of inventory including picking, packing, and shipping. You will enforce safety, drive productivity, and mentor staff in a fast-paced environment.

This role requires strong leadership, inventory control experience, and knowledge of warehouse procedures. Schedule is Sunday–Thursday with potential shifts for onboarding within the first 90 days.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 2–4 years of warehouse operations experience.
  • Experience leading 15–20+ associates.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in warehouse operations.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping for the shift.
  • Lead a team of 15–25 warehouse associates including hiring, scheduling, training, and mentoring.
  • Ensure timely, accurate, complete order pulling and proper stop sequence on trucks.
  • Maintain proper stock rotation (FIFO) and stock accuracy.
  • Enforce safety protocols and health/safety policies.
  • Coordinate pick planning with Warehouse Manager and use WMS to maximize productivity.
  • Analyze productivity and recommend improvements.
  • Handle building security (locks, alarms) post-shift.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Position Details

Work Schedule: Sunday – Thursday. Schedule may alternate to first or second shift for effective training and onboarding in the first 90 days.

Compensation: $65,000 – $73,000 with 10% bonus opportunity.

Position Purpose

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Warehouse Supervisor to join our team. The Warehouse Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations, managing a team of warehouse associates, and ensuring efficient and accurate handling of inventory. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a solid understanding of warehouse procedures, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and productive work environment.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate warehouse activities, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping of products for the assigned production shift.
  • Supervise a team of 15–25 warehouse associates including hiring, scheduling, training, coaching, and mentoring staff to ensure they understand their roles and responsibilities and perform their duties effectively.
  • Ensure timely, accurate and complete order pulling for all orders pulled during the shift. Ensure all orders are loaded in their entirety and in proper stop sequence on the assigned truck and trailer and complete all necessary paperwork.
  • Ensure all product received during the shift is stocked properly and that first‑in/first‑out warehouse procedures are followed for all stock rotation.
  • Demonstrate a strong service quality ethic through personal example. Ensure that all associates have a thorough understanding of their individual roles in meeting or exceeding internal and external customer expectations.
  • Coordinate pick planning in conjunction with the Warehouse Manager.
  • Utilize the Company’s warehouse management system and other technologies available to maximize productivity.
  • Analyze the productivity levels of the warehouse operation and recommend appropriate changes.
  • Handle building security to include locking the warehouse and setting alarms after shift, if needed.
  • Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with all material handling to comply with Company health and safety programs and policies.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Ideal Candidate and Qualifications
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse procedures, inventory management, and material handling equipment.
  • Experience with inventory management systems and warehouse management software.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem‑solving abilities.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in warehouse operations.
Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent required.
  • 2–4 years of warehouse operations experience required.
  • 1+ years of experience leading and supervising a team of 15–20 associates.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or related field preferred.
  • 4–6 years warehouse experience, including in-depth knowledge of all warehouse phases within the foodservice industry.
  • OSHA Forklift operator certificate and experience operating material handling equipment preferred.
