Job summary

Jobtailor in New York seeks an experienced E&S Underwriting leader to drive production, profitability, retention and superior policyholder service. You will oversee a team, manage a book of business and support agency relationships with strategic oversight.

The role requires expert risk assessment, pricing and negotiation, plus deep market knowledge and the ability to lead a team in a changing environment. A pre-employment drug screen is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum four years of E&S underwriting with focus on casualty lines; including 1 year of leadership experience.
• Advanced knowledge of current market conditions, trends, competition, and new products / coverages being offered by competitors
• Excellent communication, negotiation, interpersonal and presentation skills
• Ability to analyze, define and solve problems; the use of good judgment and decision-making
• Thorough understanding of key exposures and portfolio pricing techniques
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen
