Job summary

Buckhead & Newport Meat and Seafood is seeking a Transportation Supervisor to lead the department, set goals, and ensure on-time deliveries with correct invoices in New Jersey.

You will coordinate with merchandising and sales, organize with warehouse and production, schedule drivers, train staff, and oversee safety, logs, inspections, and DOT compliance while driving continuous improvement. You will report to the Warehouse/Transportation Manager and supervise drivers to uphold service standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum High School education; some college preferred.
• Experience in driving required; supervisory experience a plus.
• Knowledge of DOT requirements and safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Commercial Vehicle Drivers must have the ability to read and speak the English language sufficiently to converse with the general public, to understand highway traffic signs and signals in the English language, to respond to official inquiries, and to make entries on reports and records.
