Job summary

Winebow is seeking a transportation supervisor to ensure on-time delivery of routes and effective driver coverage. The role includes payroll submissions, driver audits, and DOT compliance, with responsibility for training new drivers and maintaining safety policies.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years driving experience and a preference for CDL, with in-office days Monday–Friday in a warehouse environment in the United States. Competitive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • One year of supervisory experience in a logistics role.
  • CDL preferred.
  • Three to five years of experience as truck driver.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures all routes are delivered in a timely manner.
  • Manages coverage of drivers, accounting for vacations, absences, etc.
  • Monitors performance of drivers and reports any disciplinary issues to the Transportation Manager.
  • Trains staff on and follows all vehicular safety policies and procedures; actively makes improvements to processes to ensure highest level of safety at all times; reports all accidents to the appropriate group.
  • Responsible for payroll submissions, vacation approvals, recruiting, and conducting performance appraisals on direct reports.
  • Completes scheduled driver audits for all drivers in assigned territory.
  • Keeps daily Error Log with Driver Check-In Coordinator to monitor delivery, warehouse, and sales errors.
  • Acts as liaison between drivers and sales consultants.
  • Recruits and trains all new drivers in accordance with company orientation checklist and DOT New Driver criteria.
  • Fills in as emergency back-up for any route in the event driver is unavailable.
  • Works with Transportation Manager to maintain compliance with all DOT and FMCSA rules and regulations.
  • Perform spot vehicle inspections and report findings to Transportation Manager.
  • Arrives to work, meetings, appointments, and other work-related functions on time and as scheduled.
  • Meets agreed-upon goals and objectives effectively and in a timely manner.

The starting salary for this position is $70,000 - $80,000 annually.

If you are hired at Winebow, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education and/or experience.

In addition to those factors, we consider internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Recruits and trains all new drivers in accordance with company orientation checklist and DOT New Driver criteria.
  • Fills in as emergency back-up for any route in the event driver is unavailable.

OTHER FUNCTIONS
  • Follows all safety policies and procedures; communicate hazards and/or suggest improvements to Manager Other duties as assigned.
WORKING CONDITIONS

Normal office and/or warehouse environment. Occasional prolonged sitting, driving, ability to work in severe weather conditions, both heat and cold.

Manual pallet jack, electric pallet jack (when duly certified), hand truck.
