Job summary

Ansco & Associates, LLC seeks a Construction Supervisor in Columbia, SC to direct and coordinate crews, subcontractors, and equipment for cable placement and restorations. You’ll ensure safety, quality, and on-time performance while maintaining detailed production records and reporting.

The role requires hands-on leadership, effective communication, and ability to work overtime or weekends as needed, with a focus on customer satisfaction and adherence to contract specifications.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in Telecommunications/Utility Construction or Maintenance
• Authorized to work in the United States
• CDL a plus (if applicable)
• Ability to read prints and interpret utility maps

Responsibilities

• Direct, coordinate and supervise employees and subcontractors in cable placement/repair per contract and specs
• Ensure safety, quality and production goals are met according to company rules
• Maintain daily production sheets and reporting
• Inspect trucks/equipment for defects and readiness
• Participate in daily/weekly calls with operations and customers
• Resolve complaints and support a responsive service
• Demonstrate ability to maintain positive working relationships both internally and externally

What You’ll Do

• Direct, coordinate and supervise, dispatch, train, inspect and monito employees and subcontractors in the correct placement/repair or cable and restorations ensuring results are according to contract and process speicifications


• Ensure employees meet all safety, quality, and production goals according to rules, regulations, and standards set by company


• Maintain daily production sheets and other reporting


• Insect trucks/equipment for defects


• Participate in daily/weekly calls with operations and customers


• Resolve compaints


• Performs other duties as necessary


• Must be able to demonstrate ability to maintain positive working relationships both internally and externally

What You’ll Need

• At least 18 years old


• Authorized to work in the United States for this company


• 3+ years of experience within the Telecommunications or Utility Construction/Maintenance industry


• Valid driver's license (CDL a plus)


• Basic knowledge of and ability to operate various types of utility trucks and equipment in a safe manner


• Basic knowledge of and ability to use hand tools and equipment in a safe manner


• Ability to read prints and interpret utility maps to identify the type and size of underground utilities


• Proficient with Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, etc), Google applications, and/or other construction


• related software applications


• Able to communicate effectively with customers, employees, etc.


• Able to lift/carry 50 lbs regularly and up to 75 lbs as needed with or without assistance


• Able to work as needed (overtime, after hours, on weekends, for emergencies or on-call)
