At North Sky Communications, LLC., as a Supervisor Telecom Construction Underground, you’ll directly manage each crew and type of work assigned. The main focus areas are safety, quality, and meeting or exceeding production requirements as established by your manager.

The role involves repetitive work assignments typical of a Superintendent’s structure, including tailgate meetings, leadership meetings, and ensuring crews meet productivity goals. You will communicate with external customers such as city inspectors and personnel, coordinate pre-construction meetings, and maintain safety and production records, including doing as-builds.

IMPORTANT: Traveling Required – Extensive travel throughout Northern California

Responsibilities
  1. Oversee and lead crews to meet daily production goals and maintain records.
  2. Coordinate invoicing with the manager per company policy.
  3. Ensure compliance with safety policies, OSHA, DOT, and project-specific requirements.
  4. Handle accident investigations, including job damage, injuries, and vehicle accidents.
  5. Attend safety meetings and training sessions.
  6. Investigate property owner complaints.
  7. Maintain adherence to safety policies.
  8. Communicate equipment needs to the manager.
  9. Keep trucks and equipment in good condition.
  10. Manage staffing, training, and performance of employees, collaborating with HR as needed.
  11. Consult with the manager before ordering materials.
  12. Interface with customers regularly.
  13. Complete 8 Job Safety Observations (JSOs) and conduct audits.
  14. Complete daily Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIR) if needed.
  15. Ensure fleet is gate checked within 45 days.
  16. Willingness to work out of town regularly.
Requirements
  • Must be 18 or older and authorized to work in the US.
  • Pass background check and drug screening.
  • Attend and pass required training.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean record.
  • 5-10 years in telecommunications or utility construction.
  • Proven leadership and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to perform basic math, read, interpret documents, and communicate effectively.
  • Ability to work after hours, weekends, or on-call.
  • Leadership or project management experience is a plus.
Physical Abilities & Exposure
  • Ability to stand, crouch, sit, bend, reach, climb, balance, crawl, lift (up to 50 lbs), and work outdoors in various weather conditions.

Salary Range: $90,000 - $110,000 annually, depending on experience.
