Job summary

Lambert's Cable Splicing Co. in Florida is seeking a Telecommunications Supervisor Construction to oversee the company’s construction program, ensure job sites follow rules and safety standards, and manage crews and subcontractors.

You will respond to call-outs, liaise with customers and utilities, monitor progress to meet schedules, and maintain professional representation on all projects.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of supervisory experience in telecommunications.
• Knowledge of fiber optic and copper outside plant construction standards.
• Valid driver's license with at least 2 years driving experience.
• Willingness to work independently and in a team.
• Comfort with varying weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and implement the Company's Construction Program, ensuring job sites follow established construction rules, practices, standards, and policies.
• Respond to call-outs as needed.
• Represent the company professionally with customers, developers, property owners, utility companies, and municipalities.
• Coordinate and lead crews, subcontractors, and other project stakeholders to ensure work is completed safely and efficiently.
• Monitor construction progress and ensure project schedules and deadlines are met.
• Ensure that all Corporate Policies and Procedures, safety requirements, and applicable standards are followed; organize and prioritize daily workloads with minimal supervision.
• Establish deadlines, monitor progress, and adjust priorities to meet project requirements.
• Communicate effectively with employees, management, customers, subcontractors, and stakeholders.

What You'll Do

• You will supervise and implement the Company's Construction Program, ensuring each job site follows established construction rules, practices, standards, and policies.
• You must be available to respond to call-outs as needed.
• You will represent the company professionally and serve as a primary point of contact with customers, developers, property owners, utility companies, and municipalities.
• You will coordinate, lead, and provide support to crews, subcontractors, and other project stakeholders to ensure work is completed safely and efficiently.
• You will monitor construction progress and ensure project schedules and deadlines are met.
• You will ensure that all Corporate Policies and Procedures, safety requirements, and applicable standards are followed.You will organize, plan, and prioritize daily workloads, effectively managing multiple tasks and changing priorities while working with minimal supervision.
• You will establish and communicate deadlines, monitor progress, and adjust priorities as needed to meet project requirements.
• You will communicate effectively and professionally with employees, management, customers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.

What You'll Need

• You have 3+ years of supervisory experience in the telecommunications industry.
• You have working knowledge of telecommunications industry standards, practices, and regulations related to the construction of fiber optic and copper cable outside plant facilities.
• You have knowledge of aerial and underground construction methods, as well as applicable engineering requirements.
• You have a valid driver's license and a minimum of 2 years of driving experience.
• You have a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
• You are comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
• You are willing and able to work in various weather conditions, including inclement weather.
• You are a self-starter who can work with minimal supervision
