Job Summary
Responsible for the supervision of daily operation of all technical and show entertainment aspects of Universal Horror Unleashed (UHU), ensuring show quality, safety, and a positive guest experience. Oversight of Technicians specializing in Audio, Video, Lighting, Rigging, Staging, Special Effects, and Show Controls. Adheres to OSHA and Universal safety standards, ensuring safety of both guests and employees.
Job Responsibilities
- Supervise daily Technical and Show Entertainment operations; oversee team members in Audio, Video, Lighting, Rigging, Staging, Special Effects, and Show Controls.
- Training new Team Members, assessing performance, handling all Team Member relations’ issues, partnering with Human Resources.
- Technical planning, execution, safety, and quality assurance of all entertainment technical and show operations; troubleshoot system problems and repair in real time during rehearsal or show.
- Effectively communicate necessary information to partnering divisions; support TSAT, GSAT, and safety standard initiatives while aligning across UDX Entertainment.
- Monitor and enforce all policies and procedures governing the safe operation of all technical equipment; participate in UDX and Entertainment guidelines and drive changes due to Standards from EHS, OSHA, and Regulatory commissions.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and coaching to the hourly Technical Entertainment team; document feedback through appropriate Employee Relations channels.
- Manage daily staffing levels of entertainment technicians for both operational and non-operational hour repairs; partner with third party technicians when necessary.
- Participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UDX policy, procedures, training, and team member involvement activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibility
- Supervises a Non-Exempt team.
Additional Information
- Requires a flexible schedule including late night, weekend, and holiday hours based on business needs.
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
Certifications, Licenses, Registrations
- Required state certifications including OSHA 30-Hour.
- Must obtain Non-Gaming work card upon employment.
Qualifications
- Expert knowledge of OSHA 1910 and 1926 working standards.
- Strong knowledge of NFPA, ANSI, and ESTA standards is preferred.

Education
Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university in a related field is preferred.
Experience
1-3 years within a supervisory/lead position is preferred; 3-5 years’ experience within the professional entertainment or themed entertainment industry is preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
