The Karmanos Cancer Institute, part of McLaren Health Care, seeks a Sterile Processing Department Manager responsible for overseeing daily operations and coordinating department activities. Key tasks include managing staff, ensuring compliance with regulations, and maintaining equipment inventory. Ideal candidates will have experience in sterile processing along with supervisory skills to lead a team effectively.

Responsible for the daily operations of the Sterile Processing Department. Sterile Processing supports patient care through the decontamination, sterilization and distribution of instrumentation and equipment required in various patient care settings throughout the medical center. Leads the coordination of activities in the department through the appropriate utilization of all resources: staff, equipment, supplies, etc. Serves as a resource in the decontamination and sterilization to the medical center staff.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
High school diploma or equivalent
Three years of experience in sterile processing
Completion of a Sterile Processing Technician program and certified as a CRCST-Certified Registered Central Service Technician by IAHCSMM within one year of hire date (with annual renewal)
Preferred:
Two year of prior supervisory experience
