Overview
Eurofins USA Clinical Trial Solutions is an international life sciences company providing analytical testing services to clients across multiple industries to support safe, healthy, and sustainable products. The Supervisor is the primary contact for internal departments and customers for the timely planning, picking and shipment of specimens. Operations include processing incoming shipment requests, planning picking of specimens, documenting deviations, and executing specimen services per work lists while ensuring chain of custody from box opened until the next service destination using manual or electronic means.
Responsibilities
- Own the execution and performance of the process for planning and preparation of outgoing shipments, communicate status of outgoing shipments with internal departments and clients, manage sample storage and retrieval, and disposal according to protocol and timelines.
- Monitor local pickup times for trends, escalate as appropriate to global logistics, and inform all departments when deliveries are delayed or service is interrupted.
- Delegate tasks to departmental leads and allocate human power to maximize daily workflows, reallocating as necessary.
- Monitor daily operations to ensure standardized workflows are followed and that task transition time points are met.
- Oversee departmental staff, maintain training files, ensure completion of training and documentation of competency, provide guidance, and conduct annual reviews.
- Monitor departmental emails and provide prompt responses.
- Respond to interpersonal conflicts and involve HR where appropriate.
- Participate in daily department activities, including daily stand-up meetings, tracking attendance, flexible staffing, and priority adjustments to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives with global management.
- Support the Manager in the investigation of quality assurance issues.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum 2 years in a production environment, preferably healthcare; minimum 2 years with an enterprise-grade application (LIMS preferred); proven track record of 2-3 years as a senior employee or team leader.
- Education: Professional or Technical degree (minimum 2-year apprenticeship or equivalent) as required by law.
- Other: Excellent knowledge of English; clear communicator; flexible working hours including weekends; ability to multi-task; ability to set priorities and work accurately under deadlines; ability to resolve problems and escalate as appropriate.

- The position is full-time, Monday–Friday, 8 a.m.–5 p.m., with on-call Saturdays. Candidates within commutable distance of Lancaster, PA area are encouraged to apply.
