Job summary

Simon Property Group's Starbucks location at La Plaza is seeking a responsible supervisor to lead shift operations, ensure quality beverages and food, and deliver exceptional customer service.

You will supervise team tasks, manage busy periods, and maintain store standards while ensuring safety and efficient cash handling. Flexibility for early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays is required.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

The successful candidate’s responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

Summary of Experience

• Minimum of six (6) months of experience delegating tasks to other employees and/or coordinating the tasks of two (2) or more employees preferred
• Six (6) months of experience in a customer-facing role that required continuous interaction with customers and fulfilling their requests is preferred.

• Engage with and understand our customers, including discovering and responding to customer needs through clear and pleasant communication
• Prepare and coach the preparation of food and beverages to standard recipes or customized recipes for customers, including recipe changes such as temperature, quantity of ingredients or substituted ingredients
• Ability to delegate tasks to other employees and/or coordinating the tasks of two (2) or more employees
• Communicates professionally with team members and customers
• Effectively escalates concerns to the appropriate leaders when needed.
• Able to plan tasks efficiently for team members, utilize task lists or organizational tools to maintain workflow, and balance multiple responsibilities with minimal oversight.
• Able to address policy violations promptly, communicate concerns appropriately, and seek guidance from leadership when needed.
• Demonstrates the ability to strategically flex team members into different areas of the business as needed, including coordinating and supporting additional training to ensure they are set up for success.

Physical Requirements and Environment:

• Ability to lift and carry up to 25-30 pounds, such as boxes of supplies, etc.
• Must be able to stand for 90% or more of a scheduled shift
• Requires frequent bending, reaching, twisting, and kneeling as part of daily duties
• Role involves repetitive hand and arm movements
• Ability to safely handle hot liquids, steam, and equipment throughout the shift.
• Manual hand dexterity for operating small tools, POS systems, and drink assembly.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment that may involve noise, heat, and close proximity to others.
• Occasional pushing or pulling of carts, containers, or equipment.
