Job summary

Essential Functions of School‑Based Supervisor:
  • To communicate and develop positive relationships with school clients and ensure the smooth operation of the program.
  • To provide supervision to clinical staff including:
    • Regular weekly meetings of at least an hour with each full‑time staff member and a half hour with part‑time staff.
    • Telephone contact as needed (i.e. during crisis situations).
  • To provide verbal and written feedback to staff including commendations and disciplinary and performance issues as appropriate, including a one‑month and three‑month verbal review, six‑month and one‑year written reviews, and periodic evaluations as specified in the agency's personnel files.
  • To supervise the overall services, review each client's Individualized Treatment Plan, and take those actions necessary to ensure the proper implementation of the plan.
  • To review and maintain case files for each client in care at least four times annually.
  • To monitor on a monthly basis the quantity and quality of staff work and to ensure that staff are providing services according to program protocols.
  • To review staff time sheets on a bi‑weekly basis to ensure service provision meets program standards, and to approve/ disapprove program staff requests for time off.
  • To facilitate regular staff meetings for each program as necessary and whole‑program meetings on a monthly basis in order to share agency information, and provide education and support to staff.
  • To work with the Associate Director of Prevention to expand the programs to other schools/districts.
  • To interview and participate in the selection of staff for openings while maintaining a staff that is culturally competent.
  • To immediately report to the Associate Director and Senior Vice President when a death occurs in an open case or a case that has closed within the agency in the past 30 days.
  • To immediately report to the Associate Director and Senior Vice President any situation in which a client or staff is threatening to sue or file a complaint against the agency.
  • To immediately report to the Associate Director and Senior Vice President the filing of any criminal charges or child abuse reports regarding students or staff.
Minimum Qualifications for Supervisor of School‑Based:
  • A Master's Degree in a human service discipline.
  • Five years of appropriate experience are required (preferably two of which are supervisory experience).
  • He or she must be an individual who has never been convicted of any child abuse offenses.
Physical Requirements for Supervisor of School‑Based:
  • Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing. Occasionally.
  • Light work that includes moving objects up to 20 pounds. Occasionally.
  • Moving from one worksite to another. Occasionally.
