You will lead a 10+ person team, optimize physician billing workflows, and collaborate across finance, compliance, managed care, and clinical units to improve revenue outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Experience with Epic Revenue Cycle modules.
  • Familiarity with clinical teams or healthcare billing processes.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily Revenue Cycle activities in Physician Billing and manage a 10+ staff team.
  • Continuously optimize workflows, systems, and staffing for efficiency.
  • Monitor quality and performance, identify trends, and implement improvements.
  • Lead responses to workflow changes and reallocate resources as needed.
  • Supervise staff hiring, training, performance management, and development.
  • Oversee accounts receivable processes, payer trends, denials, and disruptions.
  • Collaborate with finance, billing compliance, managed care, and clinical teams.
  • Align billing outcomes with institutional goals and drive revenue cycle performance.
  • Lead or contribute to projects and process improvements using data and AI.

This position offers the opportunity to lead a high-performing team, drive operational excellence, and partner across clinical and administrative functions to enhance revenue cycle outcomes in a world-renowned healthcare organization. Role Overview
  • Oversee daily operational activities within a functional area of the Revenue Cycle division, specifically in Physician Billing Lead, develop, and manage a team of 10+ staff, ensuring strong engagement, accountability, and performance outcomes
  • Continuously evaluate workflows, systems, and staffing to optimize efficiency and productivity
  • Monitor quality and performance standards, identifying trends and implementing improvement strategies
  • Lead responses to workflow changes, adjusting priorities and resource allocation as needed
  • Supervise staff, including hiring, training, performance management, and professional development
  • Manage accounts receivable processes, including payer trends, denials, and revenue disruptions
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with finance, billing compliance, managed care, and clinical teams
  • Oversee financial outcomes tied to billing and collections, ensuring alignment with institutional goals
  • Lead or contribute to projects and process improvement initiatives to enhance patient and operational outcomes
  • Promote the use of data, automation, and emerging technologies (including AI) to improve revenue cycle performance and operational efficiency
Key Qualifications
  • Demonstrated experience leading teams in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience in hospital revenue cycle, patient financial services, or related healthcare operations
  • Required experience with Epic (Revenue Cycle modules preferred)
  • Familiarity working with clinical teams or healthcare billing processes
  • Demonstrated ability to manage staff performance, engagement, and professional development
  • Knowledge of accounts receivable processes, payer interactions, and reimbursement practices
  • Ability to lead and champion the incorportation of AI tools and technologies into existing workflows
  • Solid reporting capabilities, leveraging data to drive strategy and approach to account receivable management
