Job summary

UK St. Claire in Kentucky is seeking a Patient Access Supervisor to oversee daily registration operations, ensure accuracy, efficiency, and a positive patient experience.

You will lead scheduling and insurance verification activities and align with policies, payer requirements, and regulatory standards. This role works with frontline staff, coordinates workflow with clinical and revenue cycle teams, and provides coaching and training to promote growth and accountability while driving improvement

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 0-4 years of related/progressive experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • All experience must be paid and in the same related field. Part-time and PRN experience will be prorated based on hours worked per week. Volunteer work and internships for academic credit are not counted.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise patient registration staff to ensure consistent, accurate, and timely completion of registration and access functions.
  • Provide coaching, training, and daily guidance to staff to promote professional growth and accountability.
  • Monitor staff productivity, quality, and adherence to departmental performance standards and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Assist in resolving escalated patient registration or financial clearance issues, including insurance coverage and authorization concerns.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, payer requirements, and organizational policies in all registration activities.
  • Prepare and review reports on staff performance and registration activities to identify areas for improvement.
  • Support initiatives to enhance patient satisfaction and improve service delivery.
  • Collaborate with clinical and revenue cycle teams to ensure smooth handoffs and efficient workflows.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, workgroups, and projects to support patient access and organizational objectives.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Description
