Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate Receiving Inspection personnel to ensure compliance with policies, procedures and FDA requirements.
  • Inspect and test component parts, kits and subassemblies; disposition rejected items.
  • Identify out-of-tolerance conditions and implement corrective actions.
  • Review non-conforming product and scrap data for trends and improvements.
  • Disposethe Production Rejects and RTV in ProductionWare (Matrix) systems.
  • Attend Material Review Board meetings and assist with changes to procedures.
  • Monitor KPIs and report to management; support Quality Engineering and other departments.

Job description

Directly supervise the Quality Receiving Inspection team to ensure component parts, kits, and subassemblies meet established quality and regulatory requirements while achieving safety, productivity, and operational efficiency goals

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES
  • Supervise and coordinate activities of Receiving Inspection personnel engaged in inspecting and testing of component parts, kits, and subassemblies to ensure strict compliance to company policies, procedures, processes, and Food and Drug Administration (FDA) requirements while ensuring all daily operations are safe and effective
  • Sort, inspect, test, and disposition rejected parts and components as needed
  • Identify out-of-tolerance conditions and perform necessary corrective actions
  • Review non-conforming product and scrap data to identify abnormalities and trends
  • Review and disposition inspection reports completed by the Receiving Inspection team
  • Monitor and report Key Performance Measurements (KPIs) to management
  • Work closely with Quality Engineering to initiate/improve procedures, processes, work instructions, inspection plans and reports
  • Attend and participate in Material Review Board Meetings
  • Oversee scrapping of parts in relation to authority given by the Material Review Board
  • Assist Production with Quality Control issues and assist with coordinating 3rd party re-work, including the documentation & notification of cost debited back to suppliers
  • Disposition and input all Production Rejects and Return to Vendor (RTV) into ProductionWare (Matrix) systems
  • Document shipping damage and input parts on Quality Hold into appropriate database
  • Assist Manufacturing and Engineering in resolving any process or operation concerns
  • Encourage strong communication between team members by providing an environment that is trust oriented and positive, and lead by example
  • Assist with organization and cleaning of work area, keeping aisles and walkways clear at all times, and perform regular safety audits
  • Ensure team members are current to any new and updated procedures in the Learning Management System (Litmos)
  • Assist with staff management including documenting and communicating objectives, positively impacting employee morale, motivating team members, conducting performance appraisals, appropriately addressing individual or group performance issues, and consistently enforcing all company policies, procedures, best practices, and applicable law
  • Ensure all safety and security rules are strictly observed and any accidents, incidents or injuries are promptly reported to management
  • Complete the annual CTPAT Security Training
  • Focus on continuous improvement, and consistently demonstrate good business judgment
  • Work effectively with all Pride departments to exceed internal and external expectations
  • Pride retains the discretion to modify duties and/or assign other duties as necessary
REQUIRED SKILLS

Must have the ability to:

  • Read, interpret and follow instructions, policies, procedures, and process guidelines
  • Lift/push/pull 40 lbs.

Must have:

PREFERRED SKILLS
  • Basic working knowledge of Oracle preferred
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
  • At least 3 years of Quality Assurance experience
  • At least 2 years of reviewing and dispositioning nonconforming material
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
  • At least 3 years of experience directing the work of other employees as a Lead or Supervisor preferred
  • At least 3 years of Quality Assurance experience in a manufacturing related environment preferred
  • At least 1 year of experience utilizing six sigma or seven basic quality tools preferred
  • Current or previous successful employment experience with Pride Mobility Products Corporation preferred
REQUIRED EDUCATION
  • High School Diploma or GED
PREFERRED EDUCATION
  • American Society for Quality (ASQ) certification preferred
