Job summary

Pride Mobility Products®/Quantum Rehab® is seeking a QA Inspector in the Duryea area to perform final inspection of power wheelchairs ensuring order specs, production standards and FDA compliance are met.

Responsibilities include inspecting finished products for defects, documenting data in the DHR, and operating test fixtures. You will work with Pride departments to exceed expectations while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and follow work instructions and inspection criteria.
• Requires accuracy in data recording and documentation in the DHR.
• Experience with inspection tools and test fixtures is preferred.
• High school diploma or GED preferred; ASQ certs are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Communicate issues to management and work with other Pride departments.

Job description

Perform final visual and physical inspections on power wheelchairs to meet order specifications, production standards and Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES

• Inspect finished product for defects or imperfections in aesthetics and function
• Ensure conformance to order specifications and FDA regulations
• Operate and perform inspection on all test fixtures within the department
• Utilize the Matrix/ProductionWare system and ensure that all pertinent product information is documented and recorded onto the Device History Record (DHR)
• Use a team-oriented approach and communicate concerns and issues to management
• Perform duties assigned and with minimal supervision
• Ensure all safety and security rules are strictly observed and any accidents, incidents or injuries are promptly reported to management
• Complete the annual CTPAT Security Training
• Focus on continuous improvement, and consistently demonstrate good business judgment
• Work effectively with all Pride departments to exceed internal and external expectations
• Assist with organization and cleaning of work area, keeping aisles and walkways clear at all times
• Pride retains the discretion to modify duties and/or assign other duties as necessary

REQUIRED SKILLS

Must have the ability to:

• Multi-task, problem-solve, and prioritize in a fast-paced working environment
• Read and interpret work instructions, work orders, inspection criteria, tape measures, policies, and procedures
• Utilize testing and inspection equipment
• Identify and record data with complete accuracy
• Lift/push/pull up to 40lbs.
• Work extended hours, including weekends, as business needs dictate

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

• At least 6 months of Quality Assurance experience OR at least 1 year of experience in a hands-on assembly or manufacturing role

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

• At least 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment performing visual and physical inspections on an assembled mechanical product preferred
• Current or previous successful employment experience with Pride Mobility Products Corporation preferred

PREFERRED EDUCATION

• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• American Society for Quality (ASQ) certification preferred

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now, or in the future
