Job summary

Universal Health Services, Temecula Valley Hospital, seeks an Imaging Clinical Supervisor for Ultrasound to oversee daily operations, schedules, and quality control. The role ensures regulatory compliance, staff development, and exceptional patient care.

The position also directs the vascular imaging lab and maintains IAC accreditation readiness. The candidate should have radiologic technology education, an approved degree, and at least two years of supervisory experience in an acute care

Responsibilities

Position Summary

The Imaging Clinical Supervisor- Ultrasound supports daily operations of the Ultrasound Department, ensuring safe, efficient, and high‑quality diagnostic services. This role oversees staff scheduling, workflow coordination, and labor efficiency while maintaining regulatory, safety, and quality‑control compliance. Serving as a key resource for problem resolution and service excellence, the position promotes strong communication, teamwork, and patient‑centered care.

Essential Job Duties

1. Provides clinical oversight and leadership for Ultrasound Department technologists and ensures safe, high‑quality patient care.
2. Manages and adjusts staffing schedules, augments staffing as needed, and actively supports the daily clinical care delivery team.
3. Maintains comprehensive working knowledge of RIS, PACS, quality control processes, and all applicable regulatory requirements.
4. Supports new employee onboarding and oversees ongoing staff training, competency development, and continuing education.
5. Participates in staff performance assessments, annual evaluations, and competency reviews to ensure clinical and professional excellence.
6. Ensures adherence to departmental policies and procedures and promotes consistent performance standards across all modalities.
7. Maintains regulatory compliance with CDPH, TJC, and ACR accreditation standards, including necessary documentation and quality metrics.
8. Fosters teamwork, professionalism, and a positive, collaborative work environment that supports engagement and effective communication.
9. Assists the Director/Manager as needed with departmental operational responsibilities.
10. Manages and supports the vascular imaging lab as the designated Technical Director.
    1. These responsibilities include but are not limited to: o Compliance with the IAC standards to include QC and QA documentation
    2. Supervision of the technical staff and ancillary staff associated with US vascular testing.
    3. Maintain training for staff to ensure protocols and reporting meet IAC accreditation standards
    4. Assist Vascular Lab Medical Director with achieving and maintaining IAC accreditation.
