Position Summary

The Quality and Training Supervisor is a visible leadership and development role. This individual supports the quality programs in the warehouse and coordinates and delivers training courses required by DSV and the client. The role reports to the site Manager and supports local continuous improvement activities, document controls, and ISO activities.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Quality
  • Maintains compliance with international, industry, and customer-specific quality standards.
  • Leads and performs root‑cause analyses of product/service issues as needed.
  • Manages and communicates change‑control processes to all departments.
  • Co‑ordinates internal and external audits and maintains the internal quality audit system.
  • Assists in implementation and monitoring of company quality systems, including ISO 9001:2008.
  • Helps establish, implement and evaluate quality management system metrics.
  • Provides guidance and support for customer service and quality departments with problem‑solving and improvement opportunities.
  • Manages customer‑driven continual improvement roadmaps.
  • Drives Continuous Improvement Programs at all levels, educating employees on these programs.
  • Develops and conducts training on the quality system and related topics.
  • Oversees document control, updating, creating and publishing controlled documents, sending change notifications and following up on the Quality Management System.
  • Develops and implements administrative systems including record management, traceability, and trend reporting.
Training
  • Facilitates shift training on safety, operations, quality, standard updates, and procedure updates.
  • Implements OJT training programs as required to improve site performance.
  • Conducts and supervises training and development programs for employees.
  • Plans and delivers OJT training courses and programs necessary to meet training needs, in consultation with department heads.
  • Ensures all training information is entered into the matrix.
  • Ensures site safety and training programs meet all regulatory, DSV and client requirements.
  • Ensures site programs are audit‑ready for ISO (client) and 5‑Star (DSV) requirements.
  • Arranges maintenance of all necessary equipment and materials for effective delivery and measurement of training.
  • Is responsible for equipment operator training, certifications, documentation and record keeping.
  • Evaluates all associates skill levels to identify gaps and retrains associates on any updates.
  • Ensures all staffing changes are accurately reflected in the database and training files.
  • Communicates all updates to the manager.
  • Must be flexible with scheduling and able to change days and hours for training purposes.
Other Duties
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Works overtime as dictated by business.
Supervisory Responsibilities
  • Communicates problems and questions to site leadership and implements solutions to minimize risk.
  • Follows all safety procedures.
  • Responsible for all equipment, supplies, documents, and materials related to the job.
  • Follows all DSV policies and procedures.
  • Complies with all federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Communicates with all levels of staff and the public as appropriate.
Skills & Abilities
Education & Experience
  • High school diploma.
  • Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in training and/or warehousing.
  • Prior experience developing and implementing compliance strategies and plans.
  • Preferred: Prior MHE certification or knowledge of basic MHE operation.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Professional Designations
  • Satisfactory completion of a forklift training program.
Other Requirements
  • Must work in unregulated temperatures within the warehouse; temperatures may range from mild to moderate.
Computer Skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with RF scanners.
  • Knowledge of WMS functions.
Language Skills
  • English (reading, writing, speaking).
Mathematical Skills
  • Basic to intermediate level for verifying quantities, counting inventory, or performing other related duties.

Compensation and Benefits

Expected base pay range: $72,000 – $90,000. Actual compensation will be determined based on relevant experience, skills, education, certifications, and geographic location.
