Job summary

Silfex, a Lam Research Company, is seeking a Final Inspection Supervisor to direct inspection activities and ensure products meet specifications. You will coordinate with Maintenance, Metrology, and Programming teams, apply Lean and Six Sigma concepts, and coach staff to improve throughput, yield, and quality.

The ideal candidate will have an associate degree or equivalent with 6+ years of experience and strong leadership.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree or equivalent with 6+ years of related experience.
• Lean Thinking and/or Six Sigma training preferred (Green Belt).
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret dimensional prints and regulations.
• Ability to coach, mentor, and influence others without direct authority.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Directs and coordinates Final Inspection activities to meet production and quality goals.
• Ensure compliance with EHS and quality procedures and policies.
• Review production orders and data to plan inspection requirements and schedules.
• Coach and lead the Quality team to achieve metrics like throughput and yield.
• Perform root-cause analyses and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Represent Quality in meetings and coordinate with maintenance, metrology, and programming teams.

That’s why we invest in you throughout the phases of your life with a comprehensive set of outstanding benefits that start on your first day of employment.Discover more at Lam BenefitsJob Description:Essential Function:Directs and coordinates the activities of all Final Inspection activities in support of the company production departments by performing the following duties personally or through subordinates.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Follow all company safety policies and report any unsafe conditions to Quality Manager, Manufacturing Manager, EHS Manager, and/ or Director of ManufacturingEnsure compliance to EHS requirements (EHS training, Communication, etc.)Monitors building security ensuring safe operationsDevelop and maintain a working knowledge of the Silfex’s Quality Management System and properly apply Quality Procedures and Operating Procedures as appropriateReviews production orders/schedules/pull signals to obtain product data such as types, quantities, and specifications of products and scheduled delivery dates in order to plan inspection requirementsExecutes operational schedules and coordinates inspection activities to ensure production and quality of products meets specificationsOversees Quality department systems ensuring that any issues that arise are resolved in a timely mannerInteracts with Maintenance staff by issuing Leading2Lean dispatches as necessary for facility repairs/improvementsInteracts with Metrology staff by issuing Leading2Lean dispatches as necessary for measuring equipment repairs/improvementsInteracts with Programming staff as necessary for measuring equipment program repairs/improvementsDevelops or revises standard operational and working practices and observes and coaches workers to ensure compliance with standardsConduct root cause corrective actionCompiles, stores, and retrieves inspection dataSet performance goals such as throughput and error rates and balance work assignments to achieve optimal flowCollaboratively work with cell(s)/value stream(s) with technical lead persons on product quality issues, driving continuous quality improvements and improved performance based on established metricsCoach team members with their assignments and expectations on a daily basisMonitor and achieve established AOP metrics to acceptable standards (safety, budget variances, inventory levels, on time delivery, first pass yield, scrap, rework, schedule adherence, training goals, etc.)Foster and maintain a team environmentEnsure that employees record transactions accurately, timely, and meet QMS standardsHandle ADP activities including monitoring and approval of time-off requestsWork with HR when disciplinary actions are required to be taken against an employeeEstablish training sessions for new employees and maximize production efficiency through trainingConduct employee reviews for people in the departmentImplement and maintain a system of continuous improvement (goals cascading down, feedback cascading up)Champion a reward and recognition process within the department to foster participation, competitiveness, and a sense of ownershipDrive standard work throughout plant operationsEnsure audits are completed as required – RMBWA, 5S, Leader Standard Work, etcMaintain SQDC boards dailyRepresent Quality department in meetings as required for planning, corrective action development, daily stand-up, etcEnsure that OCAP are in place for critical production equipmentEnsure that PM’s, 5S and cleaning tasks are completed timely and accuratelyPerform tasks as documented on Leader Standard WorkPerform tasks/duties related to special projects or assignmentsPerform other duties as assigned by operations managementCulture:Display a positive attitude and strong work ethic that reflects the Mission and Core Values of Silfex.Create and maintain a culture where workplace safety is part of everything we do.
