Job summary

Primoris Pipeline is seeking a Supervisor QHSE to lead and manage the implementation of the company’s QHSE programs on assigned projects. You will ensure compliance with regulations, policies, and industry best practices, fostering a strong safety culture and driving continuous improvement in quality and environmental performance.

Reporting to the project management team, you will develop plans, conduct inspections, lead investigations, provide training, manage permits, and mentor a team of QHSE

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in safety, environment, or engineering.
  • 7–10 years in QHSE within construction/infrastructure/heavy industry.
  • Supervisory or leadership experience.
  • OSHA 30-hour cert; CSP/CHST/ASP and ISO lead auditor preferred.
  • Knowledge of OSHA/EPA regs.
  • Experience building and managing QHSE systems.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with MS Office and QHSE software.
  • Willingness to travel to project sites.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and monitor QHSE plans aligned with standards and regulations.
  • Conduct site inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify hazards.
  • Lead incident investigations and corrective actions.
  • Provide QHSE training and guidance to project teams.
  • Ensure permits, licenses, and certifications are maintained.
  • Collaborate with management, operations, and clients on QHSE integration.
  • Prepare QHSE reports and compliance documentation for management.
  • Promote a proactive safety culture through coaching and engagement.
  • Stay current with QHSE regulations and best practices.

Job Overview: Job Summary

The Supervisor QHSE (Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment) will lead and manage the implementation of Primoris Services Corporation's QHSE programs and initiatives on assigned projects or sites. This role ensures compliance with all relevant regulations, company policies, and industry best practices, fostering a strong safety culture and driving continuous improvement in quality and environmental performance.

Job Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and monitor comprehensive QHSE plans and procedures in alignment with corporate standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and non-compliance issues.
  • Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Provide expert guidance and training to project teams and personnel on QHSE policies, procedures, and safe work practices.
  • Ensure all necessary permits, licenses, and certifications are obtained and maintained for project operations.
  • Collaborate with project management, operations, and clients to integrate QHSE considerations into all project phases.
  • Prepare and present detailed QHSE reports, performance metrics, and compliance documentation to management.
  • Champion a proactive safety culture through effective communication, coaching, and engagement strategies.
  • Stay current with QHSE regulations, industry standards, and emerging best practices.
  • Manage and mentor a team of QHSE professionals, as required.
Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Safety Management, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field. Equivalent experience may be considered.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in QHSE roles within the construction, infrastructure, or heavy industrial sectors.
  • Proven experience in a supervisory or leadership capacity.
  • OSHA 30-hour certification required; additional certifications (e.g., CSP, CHST, ASP, ISO Lead Auditor) highly preferred.
  • Thorough knowledge of federal, state, and local QHSE regulations (e.g., OSHA, EPA).
  • Demonstrated ability to develop, implement, and manage comprehensive QHSE management systems.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and QHSE management software.
  • Ability to travel frequently to various project sites as needed.
