Job summary

Enercon Engineering is seeking a Supervisor, Production Planner to translate demand, inventory, capacity and supply into a master production plan that fuels on-time delivery and cost effective operations. You will coordinate with planners, operations, materials, finance, product management, and business groups to align near-term and mid-range plans with priorities and capacity.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain the master production schedule for product groups and value streams.
  • Review demand, inventory, capacity, and material availability to identify imbalances and propose solutions.
  • Support monthly SIOP/IBP by providing analysis, scenarios, and inventory projections.
  • Collaborate with operations, materials, procurement, finance, product management, and business groups to align plans with demand and capacity.
  • Monitor schedule attainment, forecast consumption, inventory levels, and MRP outputs to support readiness and delivery commitments.
  • Maintain planning parameters, BOMs, lead times, and master data to ensure accurate outputs.
  • Coordinate cross-functional reviews of constraints and escalate issues with recommendations.
  • Support new product introductions and phase transitions by evaluating inventory and cost impacts.
  • Prepare planning reports and dashboards communicating plan status and risks to leadership.
  • Drive continuous improvement of planning processes, tooling, and data quality.

Job Summary

The Supervisor, Production Planner is responsible for translating demand, inventory, capacity, and supply inputs into an executable master production plan that supports customer service, on-time delivery, inventory, and operational performance objectives. This role coordinates with planners, operations, supply planning, materials, finance, product management, and business group stakeholders to align near‑term and mid‑range production plans with business priorities, customer requirements, and available capacity. The Supervisor, Production Planner evaluates supply and demand constraints, supports the monthly SIOP/IBP process, monitors schedule attainment and forecast consumption, and recommends actions to balance service, inventory, cost, and operational feasibility.

Major Responsibilities
  • Develops and maintains the master production schedule for assigned product groups, plants, or value streams, converting demand plans and supply inputs into executable production plans within the agreed planning horizon.
  • Reviews demand, inventory, capacity, material availability, and production constraints to identify potential supply and demand imbalances and recommend practical resolution options.
  • Supports monthly SIOP/IBP preparation and execution by providing planning analysis, supply scenarios, pacing updates, inventory projections, risks, opportunities, and recommended actions.
  • Partners with plant operations, production schedulers, materials, procurement, logistics, finance, product management, and business group teams to align production plans with customer demand, service expectations, and operational capabilities.
  • Monitors schedule attainment, forecast consumption, inventory levels, safety stock, planned delivery lead times, and material requirements planning outputs to support production readiness and customer delivery commitments.
  • Maintains and reviews planning parameters, planning bills of material, MRP inputs, safety stock assumptions, lead times, and master data needed to support accurate planning outputs.
  • Coordinates cross‑functional review of supply constraints, production priorities, capacity gaps, and inventory actions, escalating issues and recommendations as needed.
  • Supports new product introduction, product transitions, phase‑in/phase‑out planning, and milestone reviews by evaluating inventory, supply, capacity, timing, and cost impacts.
  • Prepares planning reports, dashboards, and summary materials that communicate plan status, risks, trade‑offs, and recommended actions to business partners and leadership.
  • Supports continuous improvement of planning processes, tools, data quality, reporting, and planning discipline across assigned product groups or facilities.
Preferred Job Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business, Engineering, or related quantitative discipline.

Certification / License

  • APICS CPIM, CSCP, or other supply chain planning certification preferred.

Work Experience

  • Typically requires 5 or more years of experience in production planning, master scheduling, supply planning, demand planning, materials planning, or a related supply chain planning role.
  • Experience using SAP/EPICOR, integrated business planning tools, advanced planning systems, or equivalent ERP/planning systems.
  • Experience supporting seasonal make-to-stock planning, assemble-to-order fulfillment models, product transitions, or multi-site production planning.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

  • Experience developing planning scenarios and communicating supply, inventory, and capacity trade‑offs.
  • Ability to influence without direct authority and work effectively across functions, facilities, and levels of the organization.
  • Knowledge of master production scheduling, material requirements planning, capacity planning, inventory planning, and SIOP/IBP processes.
  • Ability to analyze demand, supply, capacity, inventory, and production data to identify risks, evaluate trade‑offs, and recommend actions.
  • Ability to work cross‑functionally with operations, materials, finance, product management, procurement, and business group stakeholders to support planning decisions.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to summarize complex planning issues, risks, and recommendations clearly for stakeholders and leadership.
  • Strong problem‑solving, prioritization, organization, and follow-through skills in a dynamic planning environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including strong Microsoft Excel skills.
