Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, and execute all production schedules to meet operational goals.
  • Oversee daily production changes and adjust workflows as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with USDA, OSHA, and all internal quality control standards.
  • Write work orders and manage downtime for production lines.
  • Prepare and complete all daily production reports accurately and on time.
  • Maintain a safe work environment for all employees and ensure adherence to safety protocols.
  • Foster and continuously improve a positive working environment for employees and peers.
  • Accurately complete hourly employee payroll, vacation, and PTO records; communicate upcoming time-off schedules to the Operations Manager weekly.
  • Develop and implement methods to improve line throughput and efficiency.
  • Monitor and explain labor costs within assigned areas of responsibility.
  • Achieve yield expectations for all products and provide explanations for any variances.
  • Meet all requirements of the HACCP plan and supporting programs.
  • Complete and distribute all assigned paperwork or digital reports accurately and timely.
  • Perform other related duties or tasks assigned to support changing business needs.

Job Details: Level: Experienced, Job Location: Denison IA - Denison, IA 51442, Position Type: Full Time, The Production Supervisor, reporting directly to the Operations Manager, is responsible for overseeing and directing the daily operations of production lines within the manufacturing areas. This role ensures production schedules are met efficiently while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and productivity. The position requires flexibility to work extended hours, including after regular business hours and weekends, based on production needs.
