Job Details:

SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for maintaining high production, quality, and yields while ensuring a safe working environment. It requires understanding and controlling the production process, accurate record keeping, and general line maintenance and staffing.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Checking daily production orders to ensure customer orders are fulfilled.
• Ensuring all positions are filled before production start-up.
• Overseeing team member exercises and job rotation for ergonomics.
• Ensuring machinery performance standards are met.
• Passing USDA inspections at workstations.
• Promoting daily safety and conducting monthly safety meetings.
• Ensuring proper shipment, inventory rotation, and product coding.
• Communicating company benefits and policies to team members.
• Encouraging team building and providing motivation.
• Performing human relations functions such as training, retention, and counseling.
• Collaborating with other supervisors on processing operations and problem-solving.
• Recording reworked or returned products.
• Educating on the importance of quality.
• Performing additional duties as needed.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Experience: At least 1 year in manufacturing; supervisory experience preferred or equivalent education (bachelor's degree preferred).
• Education: High school diploma required; additional education preferred.
• Computer Skills: Basic skills helpful.

• Travel: 1-5 trips per year.
