Job summary

Rheem Manufacturing Company in Scottsboro, AL is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead a manufacturing team in an assembly environment, focusing on safety, quality, delivery, and cost improvements.

You will study production schedules, coordinate with management and engineering, mentor leaders, and drive lean initiatives to reduce costs while maintaining high performance. This on-site role follows a 6:00 am–2:30 pm CT schedule.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent. Higher level education highly preferred.
  • 5+ years of work experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Supervisory experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exhibit a high level of diplomacy, tact, and leadership.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Strong computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).

Responsibilities

  • Study production schedules and estimate manpower requirements to meet schedules.
  • Confer with management, engineering, and other staff members regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules and other considerations to facilitate the manufacturing processes.
  • Train and mentor team leaders on various job aspects including safety, quality, and operational duties.
  • Drive cost reduction and high performance using lean methodologies.
  • Carry out supervisory responsibilities including orientations, training, discipline, directing work, assessing work performance, coaching, developing, and motivating team members.
  • Ensure all production data is gathered and reported correctly on a daily basis.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Description

Supervisor, Production is responsible for supervising manufacturing team members in an assembly environment. Production Supervisors are primarily responsible for ensuring continual improvement in their assigned areas related to safety, quality, delivery, and cost of refrigeration products.

This position will support Rheem North America, based in Scottsboro, AL. This is an on‑site position with a schedule of 6:00 am‑2:30 pm CT.

Responsibilities
