Job summary

Wesco in North Canton, Ohio, is seeking a Production Supervisor to supervise and coordinate assembly teams, prepare work schedules, assign tasks, and ensure conformance to procedures and quality standards.

You will identify units that fail tests, oversee repairs, and collaborate with Sales and Purchasing on lead times and BOMs. Requires 3 years supervisory experience in manufacturing, LEAN knowledge, and strong problem-solving abilities.

Qualifications

• Associates' degree in Business or related field preferred.
• 3 years of supervisory experience in plant/manufacturing environments.
• 3 years of quality and LEAN process understanding and implementation.
• Reasoning ability to solve practical problems and interpret instructions.
• Mathematical skills with numbers, ratios and percentages.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office and related skills.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing and quality processes.

• Interprets specifications, drawings/blue prints, and job orders.
• Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules.
• Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance and quality of product.

• Maintains time and productions records.
• Estimates, requisitions and inspects materials.
• Enforces company policies and safety regulations.
• Confers with Sales and Purchasing regarding lead time, delivery, and BOM's.
• Reviews and monitors workers' performance and attendance.

You will prepare work schedules, assign work, and oversee the work product. You will ensure conformance to established procedures and product quality levels. You will identify units that fail tests or tolerance levels and supervise repairs as necessary.

Responsibilities:
