Job summary

CSS in Austin seeks a Production Supervisor to oversee teams assembling parts and electrical units on the floor. You will schedule, assign work, and ensure adherence to procedures and quality metrics.

Responsibilities include interpreting drawings, optimizing procedures to meet schedules, and coordinating with Sales/Purchasing on lead times and BOMs, while enforcing safety and performance standards.

Qualifications

• Associates' Degree in Business or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 3 years of supervisory experience in plant/manufacturing environment.
• 3 years of quality and LEAN process understanding and ability to implement.
• Reasoning ability to solve practical problems with variable conditions.
• Mathematical skills with numbers, measures, ratios and percentages.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office and demonstrable skills.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing and quality processes.

Job description

As a Production Supervisor, you will supervise and coordinate employees who assemble parts, components or electrical units at floor stations. You will prepare work schedules, assign work, and oversee the work product. You will ensure conformance to established procedures and product quality levels. You will identify units that fail tests or tolerance levels and supervise repairs as necessary.

Responsibilities

• Studies production schedules and estimates worker/labor requirements to complete job assignment.
• Interprets specifications, drawings/blue prints, and job orders.
• Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules.
• Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance and quality of product.
• Resolves manufacturing issues and assist workers in work problems.
• Maintains time and productions records.
• Estimates, requisitions and inspects materials.
• Enforces company policies and safety regulations.
• Confers with Sales and Purchasing regarding lead time, delivery, and BOM's.
• Reviews and monitors workers' performance and attendance.

Qualifications

• Associates' Degree in Business or relatedpreferred; Experience can be substituted for degree
