The salary range for this role is:

$64,718.69 - $106,763.83

Responsibilities:

This position is on 2nd shift (1:30pm-10:30pm). The incumbent will need to be flexible to cover other shifts as needed. This is not a rotating shift position.

The Supervisor Processing plays a critical leadership role in managing the scheduling and workforce coordination at our facility. This position oversees the site scheduling team, ensuring smooth daily operations, compliance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA), and alignment with production goals. The role requires fostering collaboration between departments, resolving labor-related issues, and providing exceptional customer service to employees.

Key responsibilities include monitoring employee schedules, implementing process improvements, and maintaining accurate records of workforce scheduling systems.

The Supervisor Processing also partners with HR and Operations Management to ensure optimal staffing levels, timely responses to employee inquiries, and efficient handling of scheduling metrics and reports. Additionally, the position supports onboarding, training schedules, and adherence to company policies and CBA guidelines.

  • Manage the site scheduling team; monitoring employee and resources, implementing improvement strategies, and fostering a spirit of cooperation within and between departments.
  • Oversee the daily scheduling process for all Union hourly employees in accordance with the CBA required guidelines assuring timeliness and accuracy, process of shift change request in accordance with the CBA.
  • Completes production plan by monitoring processes, revising labor needs and assignments, resolving issues, and reporting results of the processing flow to the Operations Manager.
  • Ensures that employees receive prompt and efficient attention for all scheduling inquiries. Create and leverage systems to thoroughly answer all employee inquiries and respond to all requests while employing an exceptional customer service demeanor.
  • Responsible for monitoring operational scheduling needs (manning increase, manning decrease/cuts, manning line changes). Volume significantly increases during periods of Indirect Labeling, Off-Season Remanufacturing, and Fresh Pack. Contacts employees, via telephone, to advise of schedule, reschedule, or lay-off.
  • Responsible for various scheduling metrics including 30-day seniority tracking, monthly dues, and initiation; and tacks and reports accurately new bids to ensure bids are scheduled and paid properly.
  • Partner with Operations Management to ensure the most effective scheduling of skilled employees.
  • Maintains all Employee Workforce Scheduling systems and all scheduling logs/reports (Automated Employee Scheduler) to ensure accurate record keeping of all related functions. Assists in archiving of related logs/reports.
  • Responsible for timely coordination and collaboration with Talent Acquisition and HR staff as it relates to staffing needs for the scheduling process.
  • Coordinates with HR on the Daily/Weekly Production Voluntary OT Sign-Up Process and Scheduling.
  • Ensure distribution of periodic (daily, weekly, monthly) and request scheduling related reports.
  • Manage production schedules for equipment changeovers, callouts for personnel issues and overlapping of responsibilities.
  • Provide senior management with advice on run strategies with current personnel bids and future state needs.
  • Partners with HR on the Return-to-Work policy and CBA guidelines for seniority placement to reduce risks from Worker's Comp payments.
  • Provides support as a backup for production planning meetings for production runs and equipment strategy changeovers, startups, and shutdowns.
  • Assist with onboarding & training scheduling for fresh pack orientation and pairing new hires with trainers, mentors, validators.
  • Coordinate with Production team and HR team personnel availability, vacation approvals, training requirements, LOA.

Qualifications:

  • Flexibility to cover other shifts if needed.
  • A HS diploma is required. A bachelor's degree in business or a related field is preferred. Equivalent work experience and education may also be considered.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a supervisor role, with at least 2 years in manufacturing is required.
  • Union environment experience preferred.
  • Prior Supervisory experience.
  • Highly organized and detailed oriented
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Computer PC skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee information.
  • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
