Job summary

PCI Pharma Service in San Diego, CA is seeking a Supervisor of Process Equipment Maintenance to lead the maintenance team and ensure high reliability of critical pharmaceutical systems. You will supervise daily work, troubleshoot complex issues, and guide repairs for lyophilization, PLC, SCADA, HMI, and related equipment.

The ideal candidate has extensive cGMP experience, strong leadership, and a track record of maintaining compliant, ready-to-use equipment.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent experience required.
• High school diploma or equivalent experience required.
• Certification preferred.
• Minimum ten (10) plus years of relevant experience required.
• Minimum eight (8) years of cGMP experience required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and mentor process equipment maintenance staff and direct day-to-day work assignments.
• Oversee timely troubleshooting of complex problems, complete emergency repairs, and guide staff in implementing repairs.
• Maintain equipment in use-ready, compliant state (lyophilizer, PLC, SCADA, HMI, clean steam, WFI).
• Monitor, respond to, and correct issues generating equipment alarms.
• Provide recommendations for upgrades and improvements and implement them.
• Author, review, and update maintenance procedures and forms; complete CMMS entries and required training.
• Travel between facilities to support all functional areas.
• Demonstrate professional behavior aligned with PCI’s policies and culture.
• Foster a safe and environmentally sustainable workplace and ensure EHS compliance.

The base salary hiring range for this position is $76,000 - $85,500 plus eligibility for an annual performance bonus. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including but not limited to specific and relevant experience, education, credentials, geography, and subject matter expertise.
