Job summary

PCI Pharma Services in San Diego, CA is seeking a senior maintenance professional to supervise process equipment maintenance staff and oversee day-to-day work. You will troubleshoot complex issues, implement upgrades, maintain lyophilizer, PLC, SCADA, HMI systems, and ensure cGMP compliance across facilities.

The role requires 10+ years of relevant experience, an Associate's degree, and willingness to travel between PCI facilities. A strong safety mindset and commitment to quality are essential.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent experience required.
  • Certification preferred.
  • Minimum ten (10) plus years of relevant experience required.
  • Minimum eight (8) years of cGMP experience required.
  • Mastery of troubleshooting and process equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and mentor process equipment maintenance staff and direct day-to-day work assignments.
  • Oversee timely troubleshooting of complex problems and guide repairs.
  • Maintain equipment in use-ready, compliant state including lyophilizer, PLC, SCADA, and HMI.
  • Monitor and correct issues generating equipment alarms.
  • Provide upgrades and improvements and update maintenance procedures.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS-OTHER DUTIES MAY BE ASSIGNED:
  • Supervise and mentor process equipment maintenance staff and direct day-to-day work assignments.
  • Oversee timely troubleshooting of complex problems, complete emergency repairs, and guide staff in implementing repairs.
  • Maintain equipment in use-ready, compliant state. Major equipment includes lyophilizer, PLC, SCADA, HMI, clean steam, WFI, and others.
  • Monitor, respond to, and correct issues generating equipment alarms.
  • Provide recommendation for, and implement upgrades and improvements.
  • Author, review, and update maintenance procedures and forms.
  • Complete CMMS entries and required training activities.
  • Travel between facilities to support all functional areas.
  • Regular and reliable attendance on a full time basis [or in accordance with posted schedule].
  • Responsible for exhibiting professional behavior with both internal and external business associates that reflects positively on the company and is consistent with the company's policies and practices.
  • Foster a safe and environmentally sustainable workplace by ensuring compliance with all PCI EHS policies and procedures.
  • Embodies PCI Pharma Service's cultural values and aligns daily actions with department goals and company culture.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Associate's degree or equivalent experience required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent experience required.
  • Certification preferred.
  • Minimum twelve (10) plus years of relevant experience required.
  • Minimum eight (8) years of cGMP experience required
  • Mastery of troubleshooting
  • Mastery of process and support equipment for pharmaceutical manufacturing including lyophilization system, clean steam, WFI, PLC, SCADA, HMI, and others.
  • Advanced understanding of cGMP.
  • Ability to work in a group, and independently.

The base salary hiring range for this position is $76,000 - $85,500 plus eligibility for an annual performance bonus. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including but not limited to specific and relevant experience, education, credentials, geography, and subject matter expertise.
