Qualifications

• 15 years of experience in a commercial setting, 5 of which in a leadership role.
• Certified Healthcare Facilities Manager.
• High school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Plans, organizes and directs the provision of engineering/plant services and associated operations and personnel.
• Oversees all new construction and daily department operations.
• Participates in budget planning for equipment, supplies and staffing with proper substantiation.
• Revises methods and procedures to stay current with state-of-the-art standards and regulatory requirements; maintains the Procedures Manual.
• Provides orientation and ongoing training and monitors documentation of staff progress and performance.

Plans, organizes and directs the provision of engineering/plant services, and associated operations and personnel. Responsible for planning, organizing and directing all new construction, and for overseeing the daily operations of the department.

Responsibilities

• Provides timely input into budget planning process for equipment, supplies and staffing, ensuring that requests are properly substantiated, reflect thorough research and are cost effective.
• Routinely establishes or revises methods and procedures as needed to stay current with the state-of-the-art and with regulatory requirements, and so that activities can be accomplished in less time, with less effort, or with better quality, without prompting. Maintains an up-to-date Procedures Manual for the section, in proper format, with necessary signature approvals.
• Provides for the orientation and on-going training of assigned personnel to departmental policies and procedures, ensuring that documentation systems are established and maintained, so that status, progress and participation can be easily monitored.
• Continuously assesses employee performance, documenting significant achievements and/or deficiencies, and coaching or counseling, as appropriate, to maximize employee capabilities and performance.
• Establishes and implements effective departmental goals and shares with staff, in accordance with hospital goals.
