Position Summary: The Supervisor, Physician Education oversees the development and delivery of provider documentation education to support accurate, compliant Diagnosis and Evaluation & Management (E/M) code assignment across Trinity Health. This role monitors documentation quality, identifies trends that impact coding accuracy, and partners closely with providers and operational leadership to strengthen clinical documentation practices. Working in a highly collaborative, provider-facing environment, the supervisor supports timely documentation review and adherence to federal and payer-specific guidelines. Through structured education, clear communication, and consistent oversight, this position enhances coding accuracy, supports revenue cycle performance, and promotes transparent, standardized documentation practices.
The Supervisor, Physician Education works primarily in an office and clinical setting with prolonged periods of sitting, computer work, and provider interaction. Occasional walking between clinical locations and meeting spaces is required. Adequate vision, hearing, and manual dexterity are essential for reviewing documentation, analyzing data, and preparing educational materials.
