Job summary

Providence Home Services in Tigard, OR is seeking a Supervisor Pharmacy Technician for our Home Services Specialty Pharmacy. This full-time, day-shift role supports the Pharmacy Manager in coordinating daily operations, staff training, and supervisory duties for technicians and interns on site in Tigard.

The ideal candidate has Oregon licensure, 2 years of pharmacy experience, and leadership experience; prior specialty pharmacy is a plus.

Qualifications

• Oregon Certified Pharmacy Technician or Oregon Pharmacy Technician License required at hire.
• Minimum of 2 years of pharmacy experience required.
• Preferred: 1 year of specialty pharmacy experience.
• Preferred: lead technician and/or supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Pharmacy Manager in coordinating daily operations and training of the Pharmacy Technician staff.
• Supervise Pharmacy Technicians, interns/students, and volunteers; set standards for technical staff education.
• Act as liaison between technicians and pharmacy management; exercise decision-making authority in the manager's absence.

Supervisor Pharmacy Technician for Providence Home Services Specialty Pharmacy in Tigard, OR.

Full-Time/Day Shift

Assists the Pharmacy Manager in coordinating daily operational, organizational, training and educational activities of the Pharmacy Technician staff to provide for a well-trained, smoothly operating department. This position will coordinate the daily activities, as well as act as immediate supervisor for all support personnel including Pharmacy Technicians, Pharmacy Technician Interns/students, and any volunteer personnel. This position will develop and set standards to meet the educational requirements for the technical support staff. This position will act as a liaison between the Pharmacy Technicians and the other Pharmacy management and will have decision making authority in certain situations in the absence of the Pharmacy Manager.

Required Qualifications:

• Upon hire: Oregon Certified Oregon Pharmacy Technician or
• Upon hire: Oregon Pharmacy Technician License.
• 2 years Pharmacy experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1 year Specialty Pharmacy experience.
• Lead technician and/or supervisory responsibility.
