Job Details
The Supervisor of Patient Access oversees the daily registration functions within Patient Access's scope of work. They ensure the operational unit is staffed appropriately and promote a positive patient experience for patients and families. The supervisor demonstrates strong verbal and written communication skills and excellent customer service when interacting with staff, patients, families, and leadership. They supervise efficient and compliant registration processes, ensuring adherence to regulatory and compliance requirements, including departmental and institutional protocols. They prioritize responsibilities to complete daily work, resolve departmental and patient issues as needed, and monitor key performance metrics to meet goals.

Job Description
Education:
An Associate's degree in healthcare or business administration is required. Alternatively, a minimum of 5 years of relevant healthcare experience in a physician office, hospital, insurance provider, or related field is acceptable. A Bachelor's degree and HFMA certifications are preferred.
Experience:
At least 2 years of patient registration experience and 3 years of supervisory experience in healthcare settings are required. Proficiency with computers, Microsoft Office, and healthcare EHR systems like EPIC or Cerner is also required.
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills are essential, along with knowledge of patient registration processes, insurance coverage, and healthcare regulations. Strong leadership, interpersonal, quality assurance, and critical thinking skills are necessary.
