Job Description:

A Pre-Access Supervisor is responsible for supervising the daily activities of their assigned team within the Pre-Access Service Center (PASC). This role is responsible for implementing and enforcing department-level policies and quality standards. They oversee department functions to ensure high-quality standards are met with regards to servicing the needs of patients, physicians, regulatory agencies, and caresite departments.

Note: The following states are currently paused for sourcing new candidates or for new relocation requests from current caregivers: California, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, New York, Rhode Island, Vermont, Washington.

Essential Functions

  • Oversee day-to-day functions of the assigned Patient Access department.
  • Monitor department-specific workqueues and workflows to ensure timely delivery of outcomes.
  • Collaborate with leaders throughout the organization to provide quality care for patients.
  • Contribute to hiring, training, coaching, and disciplinary processes for employees.
  • Promote the mission, vision, and values of Intermountain Health and adhere to service behavior standards.
  • Assign daily work schedules and approve timecards.
  • Perform front-line staff duties as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associates degree or higher preferred.
  • Previous experience with Epic is preferred.
  • At least three years of experience in Patient Access is required.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, goal-oriented environment demonstrated.

Physical Requirements

  • Visual acuity to read information, labels, documents, and monitors, and to assess customer needs.
  • Frequent verbal communication with providers, colleagues, customers, patients/clients, and visitors.
  • Manual dexterity for manipulating supplies and equipment, including frequent computer use.

Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40

The hourly rate for this position ranges from $24.84 to $38.26, depending on experience.
