Introduction

Our teams interact directly with students, faculty, administration, alumni, and the public to provide excellent customer service, selling or renting books, general merchandise, and other products and services for the academic community.

Overview
We are seeking a resourceful, driven, adaptable, and customer-focused part-time Supervisor to work varying weekly schedules year-round. The Supervisor assists management, oversees team members within a specific department or location, and provides excellent customer service to the academic community.

Responsibilities
The Supervisor spends most of their time on the sales floor coaching and modeling exceptional customer service. They help train and oversee daily activities of team members, ensure store operations run smoothly, enforce loss prevention, and maintain merchandising standards.

Expectations

  • Deliver and coach exceptional customer service on the sales floor.
  • Support all store departments and assist customers and team members.
  • Resolve customer issues and escalate when necessary.
  • Assist in daily store operations and act as Manager-on-Duty when needed.
  • Assign work and direct team members to complete tasks efficiently.
  • Process sales transactions involving cash, credit, or financial aid.
  • Maintain availability to work weekly, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Perform routine housekeeping tasks.

Physical Demands

  • Frequent movement within the store.
  • Ability to remain stationary for periods.
  • Frequent lifting and occasional reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and ladder climbing.

Qualifications

  • Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
