Purpose

The Overnight Receiving Supervisor is responsible for directing and overseeing the warehouse operations of each retail store. In addition, they supervise warehouse specialists, order pickers, and forklift operators; managing the daily freight schedule based on customer and inventory needs.

Minimum Eligibility Requirements

• 1-3 years of previous supervisory experience required (preferably in a warehouse or distribution center environment)
• Excellent interpersonal, team building, delegating, and follow-up skills
• Ability to work with and maintain effective working relationships with other departments in the company
• Effective communication skills (oral and written)
• Competent in performing basic mathematical calculations
• Strong computer skills, with the ability to work in Windows-based systems
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet established deadlines
• Available to work extended hours, especially during peak seasons

Essential Functions

• Schedule warehouse personnel daily to ensure proper staffing for shipping and receiving products efficiently
• Oversee daily warehouse activities including shipping, receiving, maintenance, and inventory control
• Manage warehouse related to Storage Buy transactions, receiving errors, and staging of products
• Maintain warehouse equipment with preventive maintenance and communicate repairs to management
• Implement and oversee warehouse safety programs in compliance with OSHA and local regulations
• Train associates and ensure adherence to standard operating procedures
• Handle disciplinary actions and employee inquiries, fostering a productive labor environment
• Coordinate with other departments for efficient operations
• Complete activity reports for management
• Monitor paperwork flow from Receiving to Inventory Control
• Resolve discrepancies in shipping, invoices, and reports
• Execute Storage Buy Audit COP
• Ensure proper staging, storage, and rotation of inventory
• Perform other duties as directed by management

Working Conditions

Frequent exposure to warehouse environment and moving vehicles; noise levels are typically moderate to noisy.

Physical/Sensory Requirements

Ability to exert 30-60 pounds of force occasionally, and 20-30 pounds frequently; frequent use of hands and fingers; ability to stand, walk, reach, climb, and stoop regularly.

Store and Pickup Hours

Monday - Friday 7:00 AM - 8:00 PM
Saturday 8:00 AM - 7:00 PM
Sunday 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM
