Tufts Medicine is seeking an experienced Administrative Clin ical Practice Administrator to oversee day-to-day operations of a clinical practice and supervise frontline staff.

The role partners with the Clinical Practice Administrator to ensure high patient care standards, efficient workflows, and compliant processes while contributing to strategic growth and financial management.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field with 3+ years of healthcare experience and 1+ year in progressive administrative roles.
  • Or a High School diploma with 5+ years in healthcare and 3+ years in progressive administrative roles.
  • Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day clinical practice operations under guidance of the Clinical Practice Administrator.
  • Supervise front desk staff, billers/coders, and medical assistants for staffing and resource use.
  • Manage patient registration, scheduling, and billing processes for accuracy and efficiency.
  • Monitor compliance with regulations and internal policies.
  • Support quality assurance initiatives and patient satisfaction assessments.
  • Handle patient complaints with swift, effective resolutions.
  • Assist with financial management and reporting; monitor variances.
  • Provide financial and operational reporting support to leadership.

Goal achievement is typically accomplished through performance of direct and/or indirect reports. A role that supervises para-professional employees. Responsibilities that typically include: Setting day-to-day operational objectives for team, problems faced may be difficult but typically are not complex, and ensures policies, practices and procedures are understood and followed by direct reports, customers and stakeholders.Job OverviewThis position is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day administrative and operational functions of a clinical practice. This position supports the Faculty Practice Administrator by ensuring efficient practice operations, supervising front-line staff, and maintaining high standards of patient care and satisfaction.Job DescriptionMinimum Qualifications:1. Associate's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field AND Three (3) years of experience in a healthcare setting AND One (1) year of progressive administrative experience in a healthcare environment; OR High School diploma or equivalent AND Five (5) years of experience in a healthcare setting AND Three (3) years of progressive administrative experience in a healthcare environment.Preferred Qualifications:1. Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field.2. Ability to perform tasks involving physical activity, which may include occasional lifting and carrying of light objects.Skills & Abilities:1.
