Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in Healthcare Administration or related field with 3 years healthcare experience.
  • Alternative: High School with 5 years healthcare experience and 3 years progressive admin work.
  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare/Admin preferred for advancement.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in daily clinical practice operations under the Clinical Practice Administrator.
  • Supervise front desk staff, billers/coders, and medical assistants for staffing efficiency.
  • Oversee patient registration, scheduling, and billing processes for accuracy.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and policies.
  • Support quality assurance and patient satisfaction initiatives.
  • Address patient complaints with swift, effective resolutions.
  • Assist with financial management and report variances.

A management role that supervises employees focusing on tactical, operational activities within a specified area, with the majority of time spent overseeing area of responsibility, planning, prioritizing and/or directing the responsibilities of employees. Goal achievement is typically accomplished through performance of direct and/or indirect reports. A role that supervises para-professional employees. Responsibilities that typically include: Setting day-to-day operational objectives for team, problems faced may be difficult but typically are not complex, and ensures policies, practices and procedures are understood and followed by direct reports, customers and stakeholders.

Job Description
Minimum Qualifications
  • 1. Associate's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field AND Three (3) years of experience in a healthcare setting ANDOne (1) year of progressive administrative experience in a healthcare environment;
  • High School diploma or equivalent ANDFive (5) years of experience in a healthcare setting ANDThree (3) years of progressive administrative experience in a healthcare environment.

Preferred Qualifications
  • 1. Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 2. One (1) year of supervisory experience including managing staff, patient services, and office operations in a healthcare environment.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • 1. Assists in the management of daily operations of the clinical practice under the guidance of the Clinical Practice Administrator.
  • 2. Supervises front desk receptionists, billers/coders, and medical assistants to ensure optimal staffing and resource utilization.
  • 3. Oversees patient registration, scheduling, and billing processes to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • 4. Monitors compliance with all relevant regulations and policies.
  • 5. Supports quality assurance initiatives and patient satisfaction evaluations.
  • 6. Handles patient complaints and issues, ensuring swift and effective resolutions.
  • 7. Assists with financial management of the practice.
  • 8. Monitors expenditures and reports on financial variances.
  • 9. Supports the Clinical Practice Administrator in financial and operational reporting.
Physical Requirements
  • 1. Frequent standing, walking, and sitting within the clinic.
  • 2. Ability to operate standard office equipment and use required software applications.
  • 3. Ability to perform tasks involving physical activity, which may include occasional lifting and carrying of light objects.
