Job summary

Performance Team in Burlington, NJ is seeking a Warehouse Operations Supervisor to lead a 20+ person team and drive inventory accuracy, planning inbound/outbound schedules, and meeting customer metrics.

You will supervise daily operations, enforce safety procedures, and coordinate staff to ensure efficient warehouse performance. A high school diploma or GED is required, with relevant experience preferred; competitive benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or 1–3 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Directly supervises 20+ employees in Operations; plans, assigns and directs work, and evaluates performance.
• Maintains inventory records, inventory accuracy, and payroll of department.

Responsibilities

• Maintain adequate records of inventory adjustments – cycles, physicals and catch weight audits performed.
• Assist with Inventory Control; maintain inventory accuracy; maintain supply areas.
• Involves maintaining computerized records of inventory.
• Performing cycle count; investigate variances; adjust inventory records as required.
• Review inbound appointment log and open order report daily to plan work activities.
• Plan inbound and outbound schedules to meet customer metrics.
• Determine staffing needs based on workload and schedule staff accordingly.
• Assign workers to duties based on workload and shipping schedules.
• Review and update operational procedures; ensure communication to warehouse staff.
• Track productivity and evaluate performance by individual and function.
• Work with Inventory Control to maximize inventory accuracy.
• Manage payroll of department.
• Advise employees on handling of items received, stored, and shipped; equipment use and safety.
• Trace history of items to resolve discrepancies between inventory and stock records.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Tracks productivity and qualifies performance by individual, function, and department.
• Works with Inventory Control to ensure the highest level of inventory accuracy possible.
• Manages payroll of department.
• Advises employees on handling of items received, stored, and shipped; methods and use of equipment in handling, storing, maintaining, and shipping stock; and related problems.
• Traces history of items to determine reasons for discrepancies between inventory and stock control records and recommends remedial actions to resolve discrepancies.
• Determines work procedures, prepares work schedules, and expedites workflow.
• Issues written and oral instructions.
• Ensures that proper safety procedures are followed.
• Maintains harmony among workers and resolves grievances.
• Position is full-time and on-site.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Directly supervises 20+ employees in the area of Operations. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education and/or Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Pay Range

$65k-$70,000k yearly

• The above stated pay range is the anticipated starting salary range for the position. The Company may adjust this range in light of prevailing market conditions and other factors such as location. The Company will work directly with the selected candidate(s) on the final starting salary in accordance with all applicable laws.
