Job summary

Sharp Packaging Solutions, part of UDG Healthcare plc, is seeking a Production Supervisor to oversee packaging of drug products and materials. You will supervise 20 to 60 employees, coordinate production workflows, enforce safety regulations, and drive continuous improvements in efficiency and quality.

Responsibilities include interpreting orders, assigning duties, monitoring operations, and collaborating with other supervisors to meet production schedules.

Supervises and coordinates activities of production workers and workers engaged in packaging drug product and materials for storage or shipment by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Study production orders to ascertain type and quantity of product and other packaging requirements.
• Interprets company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations.
• Interprets specifications and job orders to workers, and assigns duties.
• Observe packaging operations.
• Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules.
• Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
• Suggest changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of work crew.
• Analyze and resolve work problems, or assists workers in solving work problems.
• Initiate or suggest plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals.
• Maintain time and production records.
• Confer with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Directly supervises 20 to 60 employees in the Production Department. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
