Job summary

DP World is seeking a driven and hands-on Operations Supervisor for the 2nd shift (Mon-Thu) to lead frontline teams in a fast-paced warehouse and logistics environment in Rome. You will drive safety, quality, and daily production goals while coaching team members and ensuring safe operation of equipment.

The role emphasizes strong leadership, adherence to processes, and collaboration with the materials team to ensure timely material flow. Rome market experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• Experience supervising in Automotive, Manufacturing, or Supply Chain/Logistics facility.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
• Experience or training in Occupational Health & Safety, 5S, Lean methodologies preferred.
• Knowledge of quality systems; monitor staff performance and costs.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate work and train team members; ensure safe operation of material handling equipment.
• Monitor and measure team performance for accuracy and day-to-day metrics.
• Identify and eliminate safety and housekeeping hazards to minimise accidents.
• Ensure compliance with processes, work instructions, standard work and work elements.
• Liaise with materials department for on-time receipt and shipment of material.
• Other duties as assigned.

About the Role

This role is critical to ensuring safe, efficient, and high‑quality operations while developing and motivating team members to achieve daily production goals.

How you will contribute

• Plan, coordinate work, train, motivate, monitor and evaluate performance of team members; ensure their ability to safely operate material handling equipment to move materials.
• Monitor and measure team member performance for accuracy and document on daily production metrics.
• Identify and eliminate safety and housekeeping hazards to minimise workplace accidents.
• Ensure compliance of employees to processes, work instructions, standard work and work elements.
• Liaise with materials department to ensure on‑time receipt and shipment of material.
• Other duties as assigned.

Your Key Qualifications

• HS Diploma/GED required
• Experience supervising in an Automotive, Manufacturing, or Supply Chain/Logistics facility.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
• Experience and or training regarding Occupational Health & Safety, 5S, Lean Methodologies preferred.
