Job summary

Performance Team, a Maersk subsidiary, is seeking a warehouse supervisor to oversee orders, receiving, storage, and shipping operations. The role involves planning schedules, assigning tasks, and maintaining inventory accuracy to meet customer metrics.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, with related experience, and authorization to work in the U.S. The shift runs Wed–Sat 4:00am–2:30pm with a pay range of $60,000–$65,000 annually.

Summary

Supervises and coordinates activities of workers concerned with ordering, receiving, storing, inventorying, issuing, and shipping materials, supplies, tools, equipment, and parts in stockroom, warehouse, or yard by performing the following duties.

Shift

Wed - Sat 4:00am - 2:30pm

Responsibilities

• Reviews inbound appointment log and open order report each day to plan work activities.
• Plans inbound and outbound schedules to meet customer metrics.
• Determines staffing needs based on workload and schedules staff accordingly.
• Assigns workers to specific duties based on workload and shipping schedules.
• Reviews and updates operational procedures and ensures they are communicated and understood by the warehouse associates.
• Tracks productivity and qualifies performance by individual, function, and department.
• Works with Inventory Control to ensure the highest level of inventory accuracy possible.
• Manages payroll of the department.
• Advises employees on handling of items received, stored, and shipped; methods and use of equipment; and related problems.
• Traces history of items to determine reasons for discrepancies between inventory and stock control records and recommends remedial actions.
• Determines work procedures, prepares work schedules, and expedites workflow.
• Issues written and oral instructions.
• Ensures proper safety procedures are followed.
• Maintains harmony among workers and resolves grievances.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Directly supervises 20+ employees in Operations. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education and/Experience

High school diploma or GED; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

You must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.

Pay Range

$60,000 - $65,000. The stated pay range is the anticipated starting salary range for the position. The company may adjust this range in light of prevailing market conditions and other factors such as location. The company will work directly with the selected candidate(s) on the final starting salary in accordance with all applicable laws.
