Job Title: Security Systems Supervisor
Reporting To: Manager of Security Systems, Emory Police Department
This position supervises security systems personnel and operations, including access control, locks/keys, CCTV, and alarms.
Responsibilities
- Supervise performance of electronic security systems technicians and locksmiths to ensure timely task completion, work efficiency, accurate billing, and customer satisfaction.
- Develop and maintain performance metrics in software programs to evaluate personnel.
- Assist in overseeing electronic access control, keys/locks, CCTV, and alarm systems, including inventory control, database management, contractor relationships, and warranty tracking.
- Manage installations, service contracts, preventative maintenance programs, and respond to customer service requests.
- Research and evaluate emerging security technologies to enhance systems.
- Maintain inventory control databases and manage distribution of security system components.
- Supervise management of materials, equipment, tools, and expenses, including record keeping via Mobile Aim (IPAD).
- Ensure systems are updated with current software/hardware and backed-up regularly.
- Assist in budgeting, planning, and reviewing blueprints, estimates, and work orders to ensure compliance with standards and policies.
- Train assigned personnel appropriately.
- Review plans for new construction and renovations for compliance with university standards.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve operational issues efficiently.
- Schedule personnel to fulfill work requests.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with A2 Key Systems.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent, plus seven years of experience in access control and electronic security systems, including at least two years in a supervisory role, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge of security principles, access control hardware/software, and emerging technologies.
- Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel; knowledge of ADA, AAADM, Life Safety, and Fire codes.
- Valid Georgia driver’s license, insurable driving record, ability to lift 50 pounds, and physical capability to bend, stoop, and twist.
- Successful completion of a comprehensive background check.
Note: Tasks are primarily performed in-person at an Emory location. Remote work may be permitted at department discretion, with notice.
