Job summary

Hartford HealthCare is seeking a Facilities Supervisor for MidState Medical Center. The role oversees the Facilities team in day-to-day operations, ensuring compliance with codes and regulations, and coordinating tasks across trades.

Ideal candidates will have 8+ years in relevant operations, supervisory experience, and CT licensing, with strong communication and organizational skills to manage multiple high-priority tasks in a hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Education requirement: High School or equivalent.
• Experience: 8 years in Plumbing, Electrical, Carpentry, HVAC and/or Power Plant Operations with at least 2 years supervisory experience.
• Licensure: CT license (P-1, E-1, D-1 or S-1) required.
• Language: English proficiency required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the Facilities team in daily operations.
• Apply knowledge of codes and regulations to facility management.
• Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, to coordinate tasks.

Job Summary

Under the supervision of the Regional Director Facilities, the Supervisor of Facilities will oversee the Facilities team in the day-to-day operations of the Facilities department. Using exceptional organizational skills, proficient in current codes and regulations, keen knowledge of the hospital equipment and systems, the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written (email), able to multi-task many high priority tasks simultaneously, and competent to work independently.

Qualifications

Education:

High School/vocational school or equivalent required.

Experience

8 years’ experience in; Plumbing, Electrical, Carpentry, HVAC and/or Power Plant Operations (OE2), with minimum of two years Supervisory experience and OSHA training. Knowledge of Building Management Systems and Work Order databases

Experience working in hospital

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Outlook and other systems

Project Management

Licensure, Certification, Registration

P-1, E-1, D-1 or S-1 State of Connecticut license required.

Language Skills

Proficiency in English required
