Job Title: Supervisor of Behavioral Health Associates (Part-Time)

Purpose of Position:
Under clinical or behavioral health supervision, provides non-clinical supervision and ensures appropriate training and orientation are provided to behavioral health associates (BHAs) assigned to all areas, where BHA services are needed, including Emergency Department (ED), Comprehensive Psychiatric Emergency Room (CPEP) and Inpatient and Outpatient services. Acts in accordance with NYC Health + Hospitals, applicable local, state, and federal rules, regulations and patient safety standards. Contributes to continuous improvements to patient safety and compliance activities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
*Special Note: As required by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), Hospital Conditions of Participation - Patients’ Rights (42 CFR Part 482), before applying restraints, implementing seclusion, performing associated monitoring of the restrained or secluded individual, or providing care for such individual, staff must be trained and able to demonstrate competency in the performance of these actions.
