Job summary

DSV — Global Transport and Logistics in the USA is seeking an Ocean Import Supervisor to manage the ocean import process, ensure compliance with customs regulations and company policies, and supervise a team of ocean import freight forwarders.

You will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver timely, cost-efficient shipments, resolve customs issues, and maintain accurate data in the transportation management system while providing guidance on import procedures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in logistics, transportation, or related field preferred; relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in ocean import operations, including supervisory experience.

Summary
An Ocean Import Supervisor is responsible for managing the import process for ocean freight shipments, ensuring compliance with customs regulations and company policies. Educational background / Work experience

• Candidates should have a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in ocean import operations, including experience in a supervisory role.

Supervisory Responsibilities (if any)

• This position will supervise a team of ocean import coordinators.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certified Customs Specialist (CCS) or Certified Customs Broker (CCB) designation

• Experience with SAP or other enterprise resource planning systems

• Knowledge of import regulations and procedures for other transportation modes (air, land)

Language skills

• Fluent in English (oral and written)

Computer Literacy

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and transportation management systems is required.

• Experience with SAP or other enterprise resource planning systems may be preferred.

For this position, the expected base pay range is $66,528 – $83,160 annually. Actual compensation will be determined based on job-related factors such as relevant experience, skills, education, certifications, and geographic location, in accordance with applicable laws and company policy.
