Job summary

Ash Grove Cement Company, a CRH Company, is seeking a Supervisor to lead daily operations at our Florida facility. You will assist the Superintendent in coordinating safety, quality, and production, ensuring equipment uptime and efficient performance.

The role emphasizes safety leadership, problem-solving, and the ability to manage maintenance scheduling and reporting while maintaining strong customer relations and adherence to contract requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience in interpreting laboratory tests or process data for operational adjustments.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Superintendent in managing operation detail and oversee the facility in their absence.
• Lead safety program and act as a safety role model.
• Manage daily plant operations issues and inform the Superintendent.
• Identify and resolve plant issues to minimize downtime.
• Coordinate maintenance scheduling with internal and external resources.
• Provide personnel and resources to maintenance technicians.
• Ensure proper sampling, testing protocols and reporting.
• Maintain positive customer relations and contract adherence.
• Oversee contracted work on plant components.
• Maintain attendance, punctuality and scheduling flexibility.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Job Summary

The Supervisor is responsible for assisting with the leadership, coordination, reporting and other communication related to the day-to-day operations of the facility; including such issues as safety, quality, waste, productivity, operation costs, housekeeping, sampling and testing. The Supervisor is to assure the facility is safely operated in an efficient manner and ensure the up time of process and manufacturing equipment/systems is within specified performance parameters.

Job Responsibilities

• Responsible for assisting the Superintendent in managing operation detail: This position oversees the facility in the absence of the Superintendent
• Always manage aspects of the safety program and lead by example in performing in a safe manner
• Assist in managing daily plant operational issues and keep the Superintendent informed of such
• Stay informed of issues in the plant and ensure effective resolution of identified issues and needs
• Assist in identifying maintenance issues and coordinate maintenance scheduling (internal and external resources) as needed, to minimize production downtime
• Provide personnel and resources to plant maintenance technician as needed
• Assure that current sampling, testing protocols and subsequent reporting are properly handled
• Maintain positive customer relations and adherence to contract
• Assists in overseeing the work of others contracted to work on plant components
• Regular attendance, timeliness and scheduling flexibility
• Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• At least 1 year of experience in a relevant field
• Driver's license required
• Must be able to recognize hazards and safety measures to be implemented
• Ability to plan and direct the work of others
• Ability to perform, analyze and interpret laboratory tests for the purpose of making operational adjustments
• Ability to deal effectively with people at all levels
• Knowledge of processes involved in the operation of the FGD Dewatering Operation
• Problem solving and analytical skills
• Excellent written, verbal and listening skills
• Excellent planning, organizing, prioritizing, and time management skills
• Must have working knowledge of spreadsheets, databases, word processing and other related software
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
