Job summary

Inspira Health Network is seeking an MRI Department Manager to oversee daily operations of the MRI suite and related imaging areas in New Jersey.

You will supervise and coach staff, maintain records, ensure safety and compliance, and participate in education, recruitment, and equipment maintenance.

A strong background in radiology, ARRT, NJ licensure, and advanced MRI certification is required.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an approved, accredited School of Radiology.
• 5 years' experience as an MRI Technologist.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• ARRT certification and NJ licensure required.
• Advanced MRI certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Manages the daily operations of the MRI department and other Medical Imaging areas as needed.
• Supervises, instructs, evaluates, and counsels employees.
• Maintains records and procedures for maintenance, in-service, education, radiation exposure reporting, timekeeping, employee evaluations, hiring, discipline and supplies.
• Participates in MRI safety for staff, patients and Inspira physicians.

Job description

Manages the daily operations of the MRI department and other Medical Imaging areas if necessary. Supervises, instructs, evaluates, and coaches/counsels' employees. Maintains records and procedures for maintenance, in-service, education, radiation exposure reporting, timekeeping, employee evaluations, hiring, discipline and supplies for area. Participates in MRI safety for staff, patients and other Inspira employees as well as physicians.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education & Experience:

• Graduate from an approved, accredited School of Radiology.
• 5 years' experience as an MRI Technologist.
• Supervisory experience preferred.

Certification/Licensure:

• ARRT required, current licensure by the State of New Jersey.
• Advanced certification in MRI required.
• AHA CPR certified.
• IV certified or within 90 days.

Knowledge & Skills:

• Demonstrates knowledge of and follows hospital policies and procedures regarding abuse and neglect.
• Must have vast knowledge of all areas of MRI and have the ability to work independently.
