Job summary

Methodist Southwest Medical Center in Dallas is seeking a Medical Technologist Supervisor for the 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM shift, with M-F schedule and rotating weekends/holidays. The role involves overseeing all shift activities, ensuring accurate and timely lab procedures in line with regulatory standards.

Required qualifications include MT/MLS with a 4-year degree, 1 year supervisory experience (or 3 years as Lab Scientist), and being a generalist in Core Lab and Blood Bank with Processing

Qualifications

• Must hold MT/ MLS (4 year degree) and be eligible for supervision.
• 1 year of previous Laboratory Supervisor experience preferred.
• 3 years of Lab Scientist experience preferred.
• Must be a generalist (Core Lab and Blood Bank).
• Will train in Processing.
• Supervisor for micro, serology and point-of-care; must know at least 2 areas and train on the 3rd.

Job Description

The Medical Technologist Supervisor is responsible and accountable for overseeing all functions and activities for specific shift(s) or specific department(s) and for the accurate and timely performance of technical procedures in accordance with all current regulatory and accreditation standards. You must demonstrate excellent technical skills, excellent critical thinking skills, communication, and customer service skills.

Your Job Requirements

• Must be able to work 2pm to 10:30pm with weekend and holiday rotation
• 1 year of previous Laboratory Supervisor experience, preferred.
• 3 years of Lab Scientist experience preferred
